Baby room
New children have settled well and becoming more
familiar with their surroundings and forming
friendships. Children moving into the 1-2 room have
been enjoying play visits and adapting to the routine
very well. The baby room are creating a summer wall
display which means the children will be getting
creative and exploring their senses through painting
and collage, sand pictures, sensory trays. Due to the
great Scottish weather the children have had fun going
out for walks and trips to the park and around their
local community.
1-2 room
The 1-2 room has been decorated, making the room
bright and attractive. The children have been busy
creating new wall displays creating their own tropical
rain forest and art wall. Children who are moving
upstairs have been going for play visits which helps
them become more familiar with their new
environment. New children are settling well and are
being supported by staff and their new friends. The
children are enjoying outdoor activities and exploring
the community that they live in.
2-5 room
The topic that the children have been focusing on is
‘School’. This is to help create a smooth transition for
when they move on to primary school. They have been
discussing their expectation and sharing experiences
of their school visits. Role play of school has also been
a big interest as the children have been acting out roles
of pupils and teachers. Core learning has been focused
on ‘Time’. The children have been exploring time and
the different methods used to measure it, looking at
their own routines and how they differ from each other
and also how they are similar. Summer time and travel
has also been a focused interest as the children have
been discussing their experiences and their plans for
summer holidays. The house corner was transformed
into a ‘Travel agents’ for role play activities. As this was
such a hit with the children we planned a visit to
Braehead to visit the travel agents.
Graduation day
The graduation day will be held on Friday 29th July in the
Inchinnan Masonic hall. The ceremony will commence
at 11:00am. We are inviting all family and friends to join
us celebrate the children’s special day as they make
their transition from nursery to school. Children who do
not attend nursery on that day and are attending the
ceremony we ask that they are at nursery for 10:30 for
preparations. Staff and children will be leaving nursery
at 10:45 to walk up to Masonic hall so we ask that all
family and friends seated in hall for children arriving.
Refreshments and buffet will be available for everyone

Summer fete
We would like to thank everyone for their help and
support for our summer fete. The day was a great
success and fun and enjoyment was had by all. Money
raised on the day was £646.22. All money raised funded
the children’s summer trip to Blair Drummond Safari
Park. What a great day!! Fun and laughter had by
everyone.
Toys
We ask all parents if they could please discourage their
children from bringing their toys into nursery as some
are being misplaced and causing upset at home time.
Rag bag
As part of our eco-schools project we have signed up for
‘Rag Bag’ which recycles clothes, shoes, hats, curtains
and bed linen. The nursery has a large recycle bin which
is situated in the car park were all donations can be
deposited. When the bin is full an uplift will be make and
all the recycled items will be weighed and cash will be
given in return. All money raised will go towards our eco-
schools project. At our last uplift we received £60. Thank
you for your support.
New groups
All parents will be issued a letter informing them of their
child new group and keyworker for the new term. Any
question regarding this issue please speak to Elizabeth.
